Artist Call Bloom Mural  

We are pleased to announce an open call for the creation of the Bloom mural. This is a new mixed-use development in Monona at 4601 Monona Drive that is currently under construction. The project is 4 stories with 98 market-rate apartment units with roughly 7,500 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor including a new BMO bank branch. The mural will be on the south side of the building. There will also be a business incubator space, 164 parking stalls- including EV charging, and solar panels on the roof of the building. We are seeking artistic interpretations to create a mural that imagines an inclusive future and reflects the vibrancy of the city of Monona. Dynamic, colorful, and bright interpretations that draw in the viewer are encouraged. Public art is a powerful catalyst for building community pride, and this will be the newest addition to the rich mural arts along Monona Drive.

Open to professional visual artists or artist teams based in Wisconsin.
